During your driving test, you'll be asked one tell me question and one show me question. You won't fail your driving test for answering one of the questions wrong, but you will get a driving fault/minor for answering incorrectly and you can get a serious or dangerous fault if you lose control of the car when answering the 'show me' question.
You'll be asked one 'tell me' question at the start of the driving test before you begin driving and one 'show me' question whilst you're driving.
You may be asked to tell your examiner how you would check the tyres to ensure that they have sufficient tread depth and that their general condition is safe to use on the road. Tyres should have a minimum of 1.6mm tread depth across the central three-quarters of the breadth of the tyre and around the entire outer circumference of the tyre. You should also look for cuts and bulges.
