A major Atmospheric River event unfolding in Northern California as CalDot and CHP struggle to keep Interstate 80 open during white out conditions, cars sliding, vehicles getting stuck in the middle of the interstate and traffic backed up at chain controls. Shots of cars sliding, a semi stuck with a CHP vehicle being used to try and give it a boost before a large plow had to push the truck out of the way as it was blocking the interstate. Shots of cars disappearing into the white out conditions on Donner Pass. Heavy wet snow accumulating on power lines causing them to sag combined with high winds bringing the threat of power outages.
