This shot was from the copper nitrate cell , copper nitrate is a by product of cementing a silver nitrate solution with copper . The silver is displaced by copper . I like this method it reduces waste and reuses the nitrate salt . The need for dissolving in nitric acid is removed .
I filmed the melting but the video was not worthy it’s a really bad angle . My video tech (daughter ) wasn’t available, maybe you can watch it when I put together a blooper’s collection .
