Although there was some funny moments, including showing the First Lady, Michelle Obama not looking happy after the first debate, the President stuck to campaign issues.
The Daily Show's host, Jon Stewart got serious pressing Mr Obama over the government's changing explanation about the September 11 attacks on the US Consulate in Benghazi.
The President insisted information was shared with the American people as it came in, adding that the attack was still under investigation.
This was Barack Obama's sixth visit to the show since 2005 and his second since taking office.
