1. Abhyanga -hydration of the skin is recommended through self-abhyanga, or massage with warm black sesame oil , 15 minutes before bathing. Oiling the joints is non-negotiable.
2. Adding good fats to every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner can help reduce internal dryness and hard bowels. Ghee is the best. You can also use butter, coconut oil, sesame oil, etc for cooking.
3. Protect yourself from cold. Cold showers are a complete no-no. Use warm water for the body. Wear a footwear on cold surfaces, keep your feet always warm, use socks in the night, cover yourself well when exposed to cold breeze, winds or even A/c.
4. Most importantly, allow yourself time to rest and relax and grounding practices. Do breathing exercises, Pranayama and meditation. The earth wont stop spinning if you rest a bit! 😂
