Canadian federal health authorities released the government's COVID-19 vaccine roll-out plan on Thursday afternoon in Ottawa.
Deputy chief public health officer Dr. Howard Njoo says while initial supplies of vaccines will limit vaccinations to three million people, there will eventually be a COVID-19 vaccine for every Canadian.
Pfizer's vaccine is expected to start being delivered first in January, and will be sent by the manufacturer to predetermined points in each province.
Canadian Forces Major-General Dany Fortin, who is in charge of logistics for the distribution, says the military has been working with the government for months to prepare for eventual vaccine distribution.
Canada has a total of 389,436 confirmed cases and over 12,000 deaths due to the virus as of Thursday.
