To pick up something from my reasent upload of T.O.G.O orchestera I think it would be good listening to the fantastic entertainer Sven Arefeldt (1908-1956) who was one of the founder of T.O.G.O. As musician he did varity of things in the swedish showbiss. He had a wonderful special scratchy voice, which he periodically used as singer. He made radio broadcasts, traveled at the outdoor scene, but most of all he was the Sonora labels orchesterleader. In Sweden this label reach almoste a monopole position during WW2. Becouse Sonora was the only label that could get schellack to their pressings, other labels did their pressing abroad. So, as Studiobandleader at Sonora Sven Arefeldt, was reching a really high popularity. But he also lived a hard life, touring, drinking and drinking again, at the end of his life he had serious trouble with debts and bad memory since he drank to much. One day in late of summer 1956, he could not standt it anymore and committed suicide. When he was buried there was not even money for a gravestone. It took about 50 years before people remebering his music collected money for his stone.
This nice litle melody was recorded just weeks before WW2 started in august of 1939. Peelin' the peach
