In this video we are going to compare the trunk port vs access port. We will explain what a cisco trunk port is for and what a cisco access port is for. Cisco trunk vs access mode comes down to what you need the port to do. A port can either be used for trunking or for access.
Access ports are for attaching end devices like computers, phones, printers, etc. Trunk ports are for extending vlans to other devices. We will define what a trunk port is and how to configure cisco trunk ports. We will go through all the main differences between access ports vs trunk ports. We will also look at the definition of an access port.
