Here is another Op.70 Etude by Ignaz Moscheles recorded C.1905 by Gustav Lazarus, in his hands No 8 is as atmospheric as No.5.
I don't know if this German manufacturer produced any other Moscheles Etudes, its possible but I doubt very much that the whole Op.70 set was produced. We should be grateful that they had the foresight to make any at all.
The roll was made around 1905 by the pianist Gustav Lazarus, of whom I found this information:-
"Rated equally highly as both a pianist and composer is Gustav Lazarus, born in Köln on July 19, 1861, who obtained his musical training at the Rhenish metropolitan Conservatorium at the hands of Wüllner, Jensen and Seiß. From his pen has appeared a succession of songs, duets and choruses, piano works for both two and four hands, violin pieces and chamber works that proclaim his distinguished talent to the world."
