Kyrie Irving hit a huge buzzer beating 3-point shot on the way to a career high 57 points against the San Antonio Spurs.
Kyrie Irving career high points in a game now sits at 57 points. He had scored 55 points against the Portland Trail Blazers in late January.
The 57 points scored on 12 March, 2015 in an overtime win is the most points scored by any player in the NBA this season and is the most points scored NBA game since LeBron James had 61 vs. Charlotte on 3/3/2014.
Kyrie Irving hit consecutive three point shots in the last 32 seconds to claw back a 6 point lead that the Spurs held late in regulation.
Instead of fouling Irving and sending him to the line to shoot two free throws Kawhi Leonard allowed Irving to get off a three point shot to level the scores. The Cavs went on to record a 128-125 overtime win.
James had 31 points for the Cavs while Tony Parker was on top of the scoring sheet for the Spurs, Leonard and Danny Green both scored 24 points.
So now we need to wait and see how long this Kyrie Irving Career High Points in a Game mark will stand. Can he hit 60 points in a match?
