Jason Nelson and I just finished an awesome 2 day ice climbing trip to Maple Canyon, Utah. On the way there, we stopped in Grand Junction having heard a rumor that the ephemeral Ute Canyon ice climb might be in. After an easy mile approach, we crested the hillside and saw the route. It was in! But probably not for long. If you're ever passing through the area, make sure to check to see if this route is in! It's a fun romp in an absolutely beautiful setting!
