NDA's pick for President Droupadi Murmu filed her nomination on Friday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda among others. Several Union cabinet ministers and chief ministers of BJP, NDA ruled states were also present in at Parliament building. Presidential polls are scheduled to take place on 18 July 2022.
