The Berlin hospital treating Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny says test results do indicate poisoning. It says the substance has not yet been identified, but the findings suggest the use of some kind of cholinesterase inhibitor.
It says his life is not in danger, but it could not rule out any long-term effects.
He is being treated in Germany after being flown from a Siberian hospital in an induced coma on Saturday.
Navalny is a longtime opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Doctors in Russia had earlier said they gave him the correct treatment and claimed no poison was found in his system and they are responsible for saving his life.
