This ballet, Romance, was choreographed in the 1980s by a then young Dmitri Briantsev, who later became artistic director of the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich - Danchenko Ballet company. In 2005, when the Stanislavky Ballet was performing in Prague . Briantsev, at the age of 57, was murdered while going for a walk, outside the hotel that the company was residing at.
