After very high inflation readings many are wondering when will mortgage interest rates come down? While nobody has a crystal ball 🔮 we can look at history for clues.

#1. Mortgage bonds are tied to inflation. As a inflation erodes a mortgage bonds fixed rate of return. So as inflation starts to cool 🥶 we should also see mortgage bonds follow suit.

#2. Historically mortgage interest rates drop during recessions. As investors take their money from my risky investments like stocks, and put them into safer avenues such as bonds and treasuries.
