On 29 Jan 2013 at around 10.40 a Guardia Civil vessel again interfered with a vessel within British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. Warnings were read by the Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron and a formal protest is to be made.
A Convent spokesperson said that they are aware of an unlawful incursion by the Spanish Guardia Civil Vessel, Rio Cedena.
It adds the vessel attempted to exercise jurisdiction over a pleasure vessel in Gibraltar Waters.
The Convent states these incursions are a violation of the UK's sovereignty over the Waters and a matter of deep concern. It's notified London and Madrid and will back this up immediately with a formal protest through diplomatic channels.
