Many Christians believe that once they die, they will surely go to heaven. However, many other Christians who have been through near-death experiences do not agree with that, as they were told that their destination would have been in hell instead of heaven. Upon returning from their experiences, their lives were changed drastically, proving of what they saw and heard.
Why would a Christian end up in hell? It’s because they’ve ignored the requirements for entering into heaven. Heaven is not a place for everyone. Ever since Adam and Eve was expelled from the Garden of Eden because of their sin, God placed angels to guard the garden, preventing them from returning. Since heaven is much more impressive than the Garden of Eden, don’t you think it would be much more heavily guarded?
Only Christians who meet the criteria of heaven are worthy to enter into it, for it is prepared by God for those who love Him.
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12)
Yet, many people, believing that they love God, assume that they have secured their ticket to heaven, not realizing that their love does not meet the standard of the kingdom of heaven. Those who truly love God must live according to God’s requirements, and they should all bear the mark of Christ.
