Onondaga Cave State Park in Mid-Missouri is a neat State Park with 2 cave tours, several hiking trails, a pretty campground, and several picnic areas. Please subscribe to our channel if you enjoy exploring our parks and public lands.
The main feature to Onondaga Cave State Park are the Cave tours. There is much cave history to be learned from these cave tours. This area was a "must see" destination during the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis.
On Labor Day weekend 2016, we chose to take the Cathedral Cave tour. At the time, tour costed $10. There is no lighting in this cave, so the tour is lit by flashlight. (The tour guide will provide one if you didn't bring one.) This tour starts from the campground bath house parking lot. There is a half-mile wooded hike before you get to the cave entrance. Inside the cave, the temperature is cool and you will probably want a jacket or another layer. This was a great Tour for a busy and warm weekend in the state park.
