Ingredients:
Seasame Seeds 250 gm
Peanuts 150 gm
Ghee (clarified butter) 2 tbsp
Gur (jaggery) 300 gm
Dry shredded coconut 50 gm
method :
In a Pan, roast the sesame seeds till little brown in color.it will start spluttering.
Now in another pan, roast the peanuts. Once roasted, peel off the peanut.
Grind the roasted sesame seeds in a grinder.
Also grind the peeled peanuts seeds.
Now, in the pan, put some ghee and add gud (jaggery)
stir them till jaggery melts. add 1-2 teaspoon water as well.
Boil the jaggery and ghee mixture.
Till syrup is sticky but it should not having any strings.
Now add the grinded sesame seeds, roasted peanuts and dried coconut powder.
Keep stirring till all ingredients mix well.
Now, grease a square mould well.
Add the mixture in the mould and set it well for 5 minutes.
Let the mixture cool. Once cool, used a greased knife to cut it into square pieces.
You til ki chakki is ready to be served.
One tip here :
If there is some leftover/broken sweet.
Now heat the same in a pan for a minute or two.
Make balls of the leftover powder using water to avoid any hand burn.
