Despite the uncertainty surrounding Russia's parliamentary elections, one result seems clear: the Communist Party of the Russian Federation will garner most votes on December 17. The party's solid base of support lies with the pensioner generation, fed up with runaway inflation and crime and longing for the "good old days" when all the basics were guaranteed. Distribution of campaign propaganda is mainly taking place on the factory floor and in the village kitchen.
