Hi friends! Let's put all that pretty scrap yarn to work! If you're like me, you save even the little bits of leftovers from projects because, after all, who would throw out perfectly good yarn! And, I don't know about you, but I'm really into zero waste crochet projects these days. But let's face it... after a while, leftover yarn can really pile up!
This easy no sew crochet zipper pouch is a fantastic way to make a SUPER practical vintage inspired item while using up those yarn scraps! Only have a little of each color? Make a mini crochet pouch bag to organize pencils, crochet tools, and other odds and ends. Need to do some serious stash busting? Make larger pouches that can act as a laptop or tablet sleeves. They're quick, easy, and make a really thoughtful handmade gift for teachers, kids, family, and friends? They're great for everything!
Here's what you'll need:
Yarn: Any number of colors you choose. For a small 6x4 pouch, I use about 60 yds. For a larger 10.75 x 8.75 pouch, I use about 255 yds. I like to make mine in DK or Worsted (3 or 4 wt.) Cotton yarn (or other natural fibers), but I test out acrylic in this video too! Though I really do recommend using stash yarn, I will list out the yarns I have used.
WeCrochet: Cotlin, Dishie, Comfy Cotton. [ Ссылка ]=
Lionbrand: I used Basic Stitch for my acrylic pouch. The 24/7 cotton in DK or Worsted would also work great! [ Ссылка ]=
Zipper pouch: A canvas or cotton zipper pouch is perfect! The size is completely up to you! It seems that each retailer has slightly different sizes. The ones I used in the tutorial were from Hobby Lobby and Joann, but I found a nice variety pack of 16 from Amazon too!

Dritz Stitch Witchery Super Weight or Heat Bond Super Weight: This stuff is absolute magic! It's available in the sewing section at Joann, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, or from Amazon (same Amazon link as above). You will need an iron to apply it.
Crochet Hook (I used my favorite 4 mm US G6 Clover Amour), a large eye yarn needle, and scissors: Find my recommended crochet supplies in my Fave Crochet Tools Amazon storefront: [ Ссылка ]
