Historic southern flow of water into the Everglades was disrupted and has been alternatively discharged east and west into the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee Rivers for decades. Due to the unwillingness of current politicians to implement an agreed upon solution, this has resulted in the long term collapse of 3 major estuaries. Associated consequences include significant sea grass die offs, dangerous algal blooms as well as threats to South Florida real estate, the tourism industry, and drinking water supply.

Yet, many Americans, and especially Floridians are not aware of this issue. This is why this documentary needs to be made, to alert our citizens, and affect the change that needs to take place to rectify this ecological disaster that is unfolding right before our eyes.
