Gili Asahan in Indonesia is one of the least populated of the secret Gilis in the beautiful archipelago.
Spending your holiday in Gili Asahan Eco Lodge & Restaurant is more than just a retreat.
Great Italian and Indonesian kitchen and a great view. What else do you need.

The Eco Lodge was established around 15 years ago and slowly grow to what it is today.

The Lodge offers seven room types.
I spend 6 nights on the island, in one of the rooms called ‘Bale 1’, which was a concept of a ‘village meeting hut’ adapted to a bedroom with sitting area in front.
The room didn’t have any walls, but bamboo blinds for privacy and a better experience with the surrounding nature.

Besides the delicious food there are also activities to do such as kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. The boat of the Lodge can be hired for some island hopping excursions.
The waters around Gili Asahan offer an abundant selection of snorkeling and diving spots.

After your daily activities you can take a massage in their spa, or on the beach in one of the comfortable benches.

For who likes yoga, the Lodge has a Yoga place just 5 minutes hiking on the hill. The Yoga Shala offers a great view over the surrounding islands and Lombok.

How to get there?
The island can be reached by various ways, going with the air plane from Bali to Lombok is the easiest way. A taxi will bring you to Pantai Kores where the boat from the Lodge will bring you to the island.
There is also a public ferry, which I took, this review can be seen in my previous video.
Fast speedboats are also an option, these boats leave from Sanur and stop over at Gili Gede, the boat from the lodge will pick you up at the jetty.
