Cardolan, one of three successor kingdoms to Arnor found itself on it's own under a prince of the former king of Arnor. Cardolan had the resources; the population; the location to have been successful, but for the ambitions of it's kings, a desire to be relevant, and almost constant warfare, both with its former Anorian brothers and Angmar.
