Is the Golf GTD the perfect daily driver?

The MK7 Golf GTD is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 184 PS. The GTD pumps out 380nm of torque which puts it on a par with the Golf R of the time and is arguably the most impressive feat of the diesel engine. Acceleration from 0 to 100km/h takes 7.5 seconds and the Golf GTD will travel on to a top speed of 227 km/h.

Fuel economy is quoted at an impressive 4.2 l/100km.
