Unfortunately, the off-the-shelf drop-stitch kayaks cannot meet the requirements of expeditionary kayaks. They need to be able to carry bulky camping equipment, withstand windy/rainy weather, wavy waters, etc.
This project shows some improvements that allow using the Tomahawk-440 of Aqua Marina for long-term outdoor trips and expeditions.
