Interesting collection of 3 classic Namco games, along with Arrangement Mode for each (allowing for 2-player simultaneous play). The games are GALAGA, XEVIOUS and MAPPY. The 3 games are pretty darn near to exact replicas, and their Arrangement Modes offer some extra music, extra enemies, extra goals, extra power-ups, etc. to make it worth checking out. The arrangement mode for Galaga has some extra enemies, and instead of being granted an extra ship to fire alongside you when you recapture your captured ship (via enemy tractor beam) you get to fire more shots on the screen at once. The Arrangement Mode for Xevious has different music, new enemies, and an opportunity to bomb certain buildings to get a power-up, which gives you faster shots. The Sol Citadels, hidden towers that you can bomb to expose and destroy with another bomb, were in the original Xevious and are present in the Arrangement Mode as well.. no clue about the 1up flags, though. The Mappy Arrangement Mode is really cool-- you can utilize special platforms that can flip you or the enemies up one floor if you or they are standing on them. Also, the screen is split so that you can see the area of the floor around your player on one half of the screen and the other player can see the action around them on the other half. Kind of annoying if you're only playing 1 player and you only get to see half the screen! Interesting collection of classic Namco games. Suggested by YouTube user Namcotenterprises.
