As Willow Springs is officially up for sale, and no one knows what the future holds, I thought of taking this opportunity to revisit for perhaps the last time (I hope not) as this historic track's future is unknown.

Much of the original testing in the 1960’s for the GT40 program took place at Willow Springs where Carrol Shelby alongside his crew of engineers and Ken Miles tested the GT40 that later went on to win LeMans in France. Many of the track scenes from the movie Ford vs Ferrari were filmed here at Willow on ‘Big Willow’.

Willow Springs Raceway is the first purpose built road course in the United States dating all the way back to 1953. It was a Dream of the Bill Huth who operated the track with his family until just a few years ago.

Lets hope they keep this beautiful track open for the future generations to enjoy what this beautiful track has to offer!
