To Change Text Format as the Destination While Pasting in MS Word, follow these steps:
In the MS Word Document, click on “File” tab – Then “Options” – “Advanced”. Locate for the title “Cut, Copy and Paste Options”.
There you can find four options:
Pasting within the same document.
Pasting between documents
Pasting between documents when style definitions conflict
Pasting form other programs.
Now, from the drop-down list towards these four options set them as “Merge formatting” as you can see in this video.
Another simple method to do it, while pasting you can find just below the pasted text the paste option, Select “Merge formatting” icon from there.
