(22 Nov 2014) German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Vienna on Saturday as negotiations entered a delicate stage to reach a nuclear deal with Tehran.
"The negotiation atmosphere is constructive. But that must not mask the fact that there is still a big gap between us in many aspects", Steinmeier told reporters outside Palais Coburg, the venue of talks.
According to the State Department, US Secretary of State John Kerry was due to meet Steinmeier.
Three days ahead of the deadline, Kerry is consulting with allies on how to overcome deep obstacles to reach a nuclear deal with Iran.
The US and Iran remain divided on how much Tehran needs to constrain programmes that could make nuclear weapons.
Iran says all its programmes are meant for peaceful uses, but is negotiating because a deal would result in sanctions relief.
