Are you thinking of becoming a psychology research assistant at your school?
A psychology research assistant position is a great opportunity to learn more about psychology research methods and processes, and understand whether you would like to continue to do research in graduate school. If you're a psychology major, then you've probably asked yourself, is a psychology degree worth it? What are some careers in psychology that I can do? Becoming a research assistant can be one way of gaining experience in the psychology field and gaining valuable skills that will transfer to other psychology jobs and careers in the future.
In this video, I share some of my own experiences working in three psychology labs in university during my undergraduate years (cognitive, social, and clinical psychology labs). I also help answer some of your questions about being a psychology research assistant like, what can I expect? How do I get involved? How do I make the most of the RA experience? I hope this video can help you decide if being a psychology research assistant is right for you! If you have any questions about my experiences, don't hesitate to ask! 😊
