As we begin the new year, the first Artemis I mission is being readied to lift off from KSC. Originally scheduled for launch in February, 2022, the date has been delayed to March/April 2022 timeframe. The Artemis I Mission will include the firing the SLS rocket for the first time and will be a very exciting time for the Artemis program.
In this video, we will review the Artemis I mission and compare the Artemis I mission to the crewed Apollo 8 mission. Apollo 8 was the first spacecraft to circle the moon and Artemis I’s destination is also a trip around the moon and back home to earth.
Similar goals done differently.
