This Nurses Week we want to thank everyone who is helping us do our jobs.
We see you stuck at home, overwhelmed with childcare, financial obligations, and concerns about the safety of your family and friends.
We see the first responders, grocery store clerks, delivery drivers, day care workers and other essential personnel out there doing your part.
We promise to fight for you and your loved ones. We will do everything in our power to make sure you have the level of care you deserve.
To help us, we are asking for something different this Nurses Week.
Normally this week is celebrated with deliveries of food or flowers, and large gatherings of nurses advocating for patient safety.
This year we are asking you to continue taking every possible step to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Please follow social distancing guidelines. Stay home if you can, and wear cloth masks if you must go out.
The fewer people who become infected, the better we can care for patients.
Patient safety has always been our top priority.
At this critical moment, we need your help more than ever. Thank you!
