Join us this week as we build our super exciting slide out bed for a van! We've changed layout since the last version of DeeDee and decided to join the raised bed garage crew. However, we weren't so keen on losing out on all that space a fixed double bed takes up. Our solution was to make a hybrid of sofa bed, day bed and then full on double bed that works with our kitchen and seating area layout - it wasn't easy! We're pretty chuffed with how our pull out bed looks in our van! Do you think it is a good sliding bed design?
We had plenty of set backs this week, not only in designing the bed and ripping out our mistakes but being stuck in the same spot for 2 months has started to take its toll on us, we're just too used to being able to go wherever we want! However, a lockdown isn't permanent, we'll be on the move soon once DeeDee 2.0 is ready to rock.

Who are we?
Hello, we're Courts & Meeks and we live full-time in our self-converted 2012 Mercedes Sprinter van called DeeDee with our Spanish rescue dog Sally Sausage. In March 2018, we purchased DeeDee and spent the next 18 months slowly converting her into our dream tiny home on wheels, whilst working full-time jobs. Since January 2020 we have been working remotely part-time from the van whilst travelling Europe, and we're now back in the UK ripping out our interior and renovating our van.
