So this is a question I have had for some time.
With 4k gaming coming to consoles, along with entry level 4k options with PC's I wanted to test out if it's the resolution or settings that make a bigger impact for gamers in terms of 1080p vs 4k.
Since the only GPU capable of hitting 60 FPS at 4k with high/ultra settings is a 1080 ti (Which I don't Have) I decided to lower the graphics for my GTX 1080 to be able to see at 60 fps taking higher refresh out of the equation, which is going to impact your gaming experience more.
Here are my system settings and tests.
