After you have underwent hair transplantation for the frontal area or the vertex area, there can be swelling of the face, which usually starts on the 2nd day and it can last for 4 to 5 days. This swelling is usually on the forehead and it gradually trickles down and the swelling can be visible around the eyes or sometimes on the face. This limited swelling is present in most of them. But some of them the swelling may be more depending on the amount of saline infusion done or the normal body response to the swelling. So this can be reduced by simply resting the head on the sofa or on the bed and it will gradually settle down on the back and you can do your aloe vera massage and gently massage from the front onto the sides of the scalp. You can put a head band so that you can restrict the swelling to trickle down on the face. Usually the swelling lasts for 2 to 3 days, during which we suggest you to take the tablet the tablet thrice daily, morning, afternoon and night for 2 to 3 days . This will reduce the swelling much faster usually we will give medications in which most of the swelling will reduce. The swelling is very minimal on the face after transplantation.
