In order to help you effectively transfer or migrate OS from HDD to SSD without reinstall programs or losing any files, you'll need to follow this video or the detailed steps as listed below carefully:
#1. Preparations - Get tools that you need for migrating OS:
A New HDD/SSD - Larger than the (used space in) source system drive
A SATA Connection Cable
A screwdriver
A system clone software - EaseUS Todo Backup that will help you to successfully clone and migrate OS to the new disk

#2. Clone and Transfer OS to New SSD or HDD
Step 1. Install the new HDD/SSD to your computer
Note that your new disk should be at least equal to or even larger than the used space in the current system disk.
Use the screwdriver to remove computer case, connect the new disk to your computer via the SATA cable and a power cable, restart computer and open Disk Management, right-click on the new disk and select "Initialize disk".
Set the new disk to be the same partition style as your old system disk: GPT - GPT; MBR - MBR.
Step 2. Clone and Transfer System to the New Disk
Run EaseUS Todo Backup, select "Clone System" and choose the new disk as target disk. If the drive is SSD, click "Advanced Option" and tick "Optimized for SSD". Click "Proceed" and wait for the clone to complete.
Wait for the OS migration process to complete.
Step 3. Make Computer to Boot from New SSD/HDD with Transferred OS
Restart computer and press F2/F8/F12 or Del keys to bring up the BIOS window. At the boot menu, set the new SSD or HDD as the boot drive under the boot priority section.
Save the changes and restart computer, the OS will automatically boot up from the new SSD/HDD.
