Rivers in China turn blood red in the night after the storm passes.
Beijing August 2: China is at the peak of this year's flood season, when 28 provinces and cities suffer heavy damage. More than 70 rivers are above flood alert levels. especially the Yangtze River where the Three Gorges Dam has been under great pressure in the past two weeks. Recently, a waterway in eastern China mysteriously turned blood red after a typhoon swept through the country.
Residents in Zhejiang province said the river looked normal at 5 a.m. Beijing time on Monday morning. Within an hour, the entire river turned crimson. Residents also reported a strange smell wafting through the air. Many people fear that this is a sign of an impending doom!
