The V16 emergency light replaces warning triangles in Spain from July 2021 although warning triangles will be acceptable through until 2025 when the V16 becomes compulsory. These lights can be purchased online from €12.00+ just make sure that they have the homologation cert/number on them.
The V16 has been brought in to prevent accidents after several fatalities where drivers were placing thier warning triangles on the side of the road. The light is magnetic, designed to be stuck on the roof of the car, runs off AA or AAA batteries and has various flash modes.
