Vitrectomy for floaters | Floaters are one of the most bothersome symptoms for any patient. Most of times we ask the patient to ignore them as they are not harmful but if the floaters come in the way of visual axis and constantly bother the patient then vitrectomy with small gauge surgery is the most effective way of removing them. In this case we use very fine 27 gauge MIVS vitrectomy procedure.. The wounds are so fine that they dissapear as soon as the canulas are removed and no suture needs to be taken usually.
