PEEK has outstanding mechanical properties which are FURTHER IMPROVED by heat treatment of annealing and the development of the semi-crystalline phase, reaching a tensile strength (UTS) up to 100 MPa. In addition to this it can be used up to 250°C in continuous use depending on the forces it is subjected to. It withstands hostile environments involving fuels, grease, chemicals, high humidity and intense vibration. Due to its outstanding performance and lightweight, it is widely used as a metal replacement in the aerospace and defense industries.
