IZAKAYA TOYO in Osaka became famous due to the Street Food documentary on Netflix.
So happy on my first day in Japan I found some people which plan was to visit Izakaya Toyo for some fatty tuna. Going there is a real experience. There are many Izakayas in Japan, but this Izakaya is very crowded without seats and the chef Toyo is BBQing the meat with a flamethrower, he is also going with his hand underneath the hot fire after he put it into ice cold water. Izakaya Toyo should be on your list if you are getting to Osaka and looking for some excellent Street Food.
