When loading shelf-ready trays of bottles, it is important to ensure all the labels are facing forward when the bottles are loaded into the trays. This high speed system spins the bottles while looking for the break in the label then orients each bottle to be facing forward.
The trays are pre-formed and conveyed into the cell where an ABB IRB 1300 robot with a custom gripper featuring 3D printed soft cups picks and load the bottles, 3 at a time.
