The Greek-led task group for the current NATO Operation Sea Guardian focused security patrol, conducted training with the Israeli Navy in the eastern Mediterranean Sea on December 7, 2020.
The exercise Crystal Sea evolved from a Medical exercise (MEDEX) to a Maritime Security exercise aiming at establishing a new standard to Maritime Security passage exercises under Operation Sea Guardian. Crystal Sea marks a great achievement as it is the first a Maritime Medical Support exercise in the Eastern Mediterranean has been conducted with a Partner.
