DULCE DE LECHE
What will you need:
- 3 (or more) cans sweetened condensed milk
- enough water to simmer the cans of milk
𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐑𝐄:
(1) Peel the label off
(2) Place can in a large pot.
(3) Add room temperature water. The can should be completely submerged, make sure the water level rises 1-2 inches above the too of the cans.
(4) Simmer for 4-5 hours.
(5) Using tongs, remove the cans from the hot water. Let it cool to room temperature before opening. DO NOT OPEN WHILE IT'S HOT. The pressure inside the can might cause the contents to spill out.
(6) Open the can using a can opener. Enjoy!
NOTE: Unopened/sealed can can be stored on room temperature for up to 3 months. If you've opened a can, transfer the contents into an airtight container before storing in the refrigerator (can be stored for up to 3 weeks, on room temperature it can last for 1 week).
