𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗧Ō (納豆) 𝗝𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗢𝗬𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗦

I know this dish isn’t for everyone but I personally love it. I remember watching it in a documentary on asian food channel when I was still young and it was one of those dishes that I’ve always wanted to try. When I first tasted it I admit I was a bit surprised - for some weird reason I honestly thought it would taste like sweet rice crispies. I found myself craving it more the next day and now it’s something I look forward to eating all the time.

For those who are curious - it tastes salty, slightly bitter and very umami. The texture is quite slimy but if you’re used to eating okra that shouldn’t be too much of an issue. For me this is best paired with a steaming bowl of hot rice 😋
