How to make your car handle better!
In this episode we take our 2007 WRX STi and upgrade our suspension components.
We install: OZ Racing Adjustable Coilovers, this gives us control over the height, damper, spring rate and front camber angles. This is a great starting point for a lot of vehicles as we can start to get some control and adjustment.
Truhart Camber arms for the rear gives us a massive amount of adjustability, this vehicle has huge wheels and tyres and to make it all fit nicely we need maximum tuneability
White line Swaybars or 'Anti Roll Bars' 24mm Adjustable front and rear swaybars. This really tightened up the vehicle, and the turn in is now fantastic!!
Finally the Wheels & Tyres are Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 +15 with 235 40 18 Nitto Invo Tyres, this is pretty much the ultimate package for this car, light weight and the tyres give the ultimate feedback and grip.

'Today we're starting on a new project. It's a 2007 WRX STI. We've chosen some of the best products available on the market. We've got the brand new wheels, brand new tires, from our friends at Enkei and Nitto. It's such an awesome looking tire. The tread pattern is really out there, the deep water grooves. This is one of the best tires you can get for wet handling. As well as that, the Enkei RPF1 is one of the classic Japanese wheels that's ultra light. It looks cool. We're so excited to get these on the car.
Today we're going to be installing the suspension we got for the STI. Brand new Oz Racing coilovers We've go some TruHart camber arms, and as well as that we've also got some Whiteline sway bars going in. Fist step is first to load the car onto the hoist and then we'll remove the wheels and start to remove the old suspension. It's important that we make sure everything gets removed nice and tidy without damaging anything.
Out comes the old suspension. We're going to make sure we set out the suspension properly, check the heights, check the damper, check the spring rates, make sure they're all good to go before we put them back into the car. Once we bolt everything up, we're going to grab these Whiteline sway bars. We've got a 24 millimeter front and rear sway bar heavy duty option. Full adjustable so we're going to make the thing handle a whole bunch better. Finally the TruHart camber arms going in so we can get full control over the rear camber.
On the other side of the workshop we've got Blaide fitting up our Enkei RPF1s the 18x9.5's to the 235/40 18 Awesome set of wheels. Look at that stretch, how cool is that? The wheels are fitted, we'll roll them over start chucking them on the car. I'm getting pretty excited to see how this goes. Meanwhile, Blaide's finished off the rest of the wheels so we'll tighten them all up and then we're going to lower it down.
Ah yeah! Check that out. Look at that fitment. Do you want to see how it all turned out? Click here to watch the next video.
