Nutella & Banana Turnovers
Makes: 9 Turnovers
Ingredients
1 sheet of Pepperidge Farms frozen puff pastry, thawed
1/2 cup Nutella
1 banana, sliced
1 egg
1- 2 tablespoons water
Powdered sugar
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cut the thawed puff pastry into 9 equal square parts, on a floured pastry board.
3. Spoon equal amounts of Nutella ( about ½ tsp ) into the center of each of the puff pastry squares. Then, top with two banana slices.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg with the water. Brush a small amount of the egg wash along one side of each puff pastry square. Then, fold one corner of each square to meet the opposite corner (to form a triangle), and seal closed with a fork. Brush the tops of each turnover with egg wash.
5. Place in the oven for about 10- 15 minutes, or until turnovers are puffed up and golden brown. Cool for a couple of minutes on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy all the goodness. ☺
