This is my countdown of 40 songs by hard rock/ heavy metal bands that were all released in the 80's counted down to my top pick. These were great songs lost in the shuffle that many may or may not know of. This is not in any form a best of for everybody, but it's songs I felt didn't get the attention they deserved back then and if handled differently certainly could have made a bigger impact than they did. I hope you enjoy this trip back through the forgotten 80's from bands that did their best to be heard but got left behind by a generation being pummeled by the mainstream hair/ metal bands that dominated the scene back then.
