The Gibson ES-330 is not the smaller or cheaper brother of the 335. It really is the replacement for the ES-225T. Unlike the 225, it has a double cutaway, hollow body made of laminated maple. The mahogany neck meets the body at the 15th fret and includes a rosewood fingerboard and small block position markers. While the 330 sounds quite lively acoustically, it really comes to life when you plug it in.
This Gibson ES330 from 1962 has had a turbulent life, and this is evident from its appearance. The guitar has undergone a refinish of extraordinary proportions, with thoughts immediately going to Rory Gallagher's famous Stratocaster. Due to the extremely thin layer of lacquer, the guitar is exceptionally resonant.
Furthermore, the tuners, nut and bridge have been replaced, but the guitar still has the original pickups and potentiometers. The bridge pickup is provided with a shim so that it is closer to the strings and is thus more in balance with the neck pickup. The guitar plays very well and is overall in good condition.
The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a hardshell case.
